CHENNAI AIKIDO CLUB Rules & Etiquette
1 Object
1) The object of the Chennai AIKIDO Club ( herein after called as CAC) shall be to train mind and body, and to produce sincere, earnest people through AIKIDO.2) CAC shall contribute to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India while spreading the true spirit of AIKIDO in India.
2 Rules
1) the persons who want to join CAC shall fill in the application format and submit them with admission fee and monthy fee which are decided separetly.2) During the practice, students will follow instructions of the Instructor/Coach, and sincerely train the technique.
3) Students will respect Sensei/instructor/Coach and fellows each other, and prictice with the fellows considering their technique
4) If any student did an improper behavior, they would be expelled from CAC.
5) The system of the examine of the grade will be made based on that of AIKIKAI HONBU DOJO, which are mentoined separately.
3 Etiquette
1) Standing bow on entering and leaving the dojo2) Members who arrive late for the class may join in after they have bowed in a sitting position to O'Sensei. Visitors must first ask permission from the instructor before joining the class.
3) Finger and toe nails are to be kept short and a high standard of personal cleanliness is to be maintained. All students must assist in keeping their Dojo clean.
4) When receiving instruction, students should sit down on the mat allowing plenty of room for the instructor to carry out demonstrations.
5) At no time must a student sit with their legs outstretched in front of them or lie on the mat.
6) During the practice when the instructor is explaining a technique to an individual student, students practicing nearby should sit and observe the instructor.
7) All students will wear slippers to and from the mat. No person is permitted to walk on the mat wearing slippers or shoes.
8) Students must ask for permission from the instructor before resting. Whilst resting sit upright and remain quiet and practice breathing techniques.
9) The DOJO should be treated as a shrine at all times.
